TRUTH: the first home that i purchase with my family was on 1313 Fireside Court. it was the last home on the block. people who liked the house refused to buy it due to the address. we signed the papers within half an hour of viewing it. what does this have to do with the price of tea in China? my birthday has presented me with annual confrontations of my stand on remaining in the world with a clean slate. birthday cards always assuage the instinct to shy away from the 'unluckiness' aspect of my being. what a wonderful healing representation you are to one of my deepest and most primitive wounds that i have been actively trying to heal for 56 years. you are the full circle, my beautiful friend Kat. my birthday is on friday the 13th. this has been an interesting challenge from the beginning. of course, there was the funny and heartwarming story relayed to me by my father that he asked my mother to cross her legs until saturday the 14th. that has always made my entry into the world a welcoming affair!
