Teetering on the Edge of Excellence
I had a challenging day yesterday. I was fighting technology and technology was fighting back! On top of this I drove for two and a half hours, in the rain. Then I had to re-aquaint myself with this PowerBook when I am use to working with a duet workstation, Mac and Boxx PC, and I was floundering sweetums. Not a pretty sight.
I tried to participate in my first ever #artwalk. I was very excited. And that’s when I discovered that all of the playing around with my new Tweet Toys had been flagged and my punishment was that my tweets have been removed from Twitter search results. Ok, I over-reacted. I was heart-broken. And appalled that I had done something wrong. It’s the Catholic school girl in me.
It didn’t help that on top of all of this happening I am getting ready to announce that my new online card shop is celebrating their opening! I am working on the programming with a brilliant team and got my best idea directly from talking to customers on Twitter! I have to say that my customers are really my friends. But it is not surprising that I take being the Greetums Lady seriously.
I was exhausted by 10pm. My hubbie didn’t get back from his long day of working on the TV show Law & Order until almost 10:30pm. His call time was early and I needed to get quiet. And in this quiet moment, as I drifted off to catch the bus to Dreamland, I had the most amazing thought…I am about to do something GREAT!
I mean dare I say so cool it will achieve red-hotness!
I asked my friends over on Twitter if they ever felt this way and @LissaRankin replied, “Yes, as if you are teetering on the edge of excellence”! YES, she gave my feeling that perfect word. I am teetering on the edge of EXCELLENCE.
Have you ever felt this way? Please leave a comment below.

I will soon give you the details to what I am cooking. This excitement takes my breath away; truly.
I know it’s kind of lame to comment on my own stuff, but I do tend to talk to myself.
Last week I deployed a new feature on Greetums.com. I’ve been low-key about it but invited a few friends by sending them Greetums ecards. A Greetum is now a gift too. Recipients get a 7 day/unlimited premium subscription to Greetums, which can be redeemed at any time.
We are still working on the email bugs but the gift part works if you redeem (via a button on the ecard page) and it’s just in time for the holiday season.
I hope that you try it out. If you email me at ladyg@greetums.com I will send you a card so you can try it out for free.
