Update on my running:

I thought I was ready. This was the third season that I have tried to run. The good news is I increased my distance to 1000 feet from 500 feet. The bad news is that I had to cut back on my training because of an ankle complaint that led to a herniation of both of my damaged discs.

So I just did not have the time to train for a 2 mile run, let alone a 3 mile run. Sigh. But I have not given up yet. Someday I will RUN.

The scene with the kid brother and the snow suit, that happened to me as a kid. I fell down and couldn’t get back up on the way to school! Hilarious. “You can put your arms down when you get to school”.

His radio show from 1963 is more of the same wit, social commentary and observation of human nature.

Take a picture of the nylon high heeled lamp in your neighbor’s window for me please!!

“Fragile” that must be Italian!!! my son David’s number one Xmas movie of all time. you gotta know we own this! how ’bout the scene when his tongue gets stuck on the metal pole? the entire film is pure genius!!! we have a guy in my hood who puts the nylon high heeled leg lamp on in his window during the Xmas season. my kind of humor indeed, girl. you know me so well.

my life changed forever after volunteering for MDA camps (Muscular Dystrophy Association) and Lions Camp for Blind and Deaf.
the smallest unnoticeable things became a source of major gratefulness.
i do believe that for almost every shower i’ve taken in the last 40 years, i haven’t failed to realize how fortunate i’ve been to do this without assistance.
nothing that i can do independently escapes me. i need look no further than getting out of bed on my own in the morning for things to be thankful for.

The “Thanks” experiment was an unexpected pleasure. Turns out that there is much joy as a result of seeking reasons to be thankful.

Grace is a prayer of thanks. If you always were grateful you’d live in a state of grace. I can see the positive effects in just 6 days. I am excited about the possibility of doing this for 6 weeks straight; enough time to make it a habit.

42 days of gratitude. brilliant! I will literally keep you posted.
